Planning a wedding can be a challenge in itself. It is important to give yourself, friends and family plenty of time. Deciding on the style, atmosphere, bridal gown and overall decor will no doubt set the stage for the right wedding cake. Still many wedding planners encourage the bride to be to choose a cake first. This gives the planner an understanding of the clients taste and style.
Finding the right cake is often a very personal matter. You should not be pressured by friends or family.
Traditional wedding cakes are white. There are a variety of flavors including chocolate, carrot cake, cheese cake and vanilla.
Think of what you see in your minds eye as you enter the reception room. Do you see lights? A gentle water fall. A glass bride from tier to tier? Are there flowers? If so what kind? You may want to consider a cake that features your favorite flower. Something that compliments your bouquet. What colors do you envision?
